What is it?
The raccoon is a signature, a graffiti tag, a character, an obsession, a trail of bread crumbs left behind, a tattoo, and, at its core, an illustrated representation of my childhood best friend and me.
Why is it everywhere?
If there's a paint pen anywhere near me and a blank (previously tagged) surface, raccoons just seem to pop up
Where it all started...
In 2021, I realized that I didn't have any type of signature.
My personal signature was essentially a scribble and the "design" signatures I was trying out did not feel authentic to me, so...
I asked my best friend.
After some discussion, we decided that the best representation of us was a raccoon.

after a few months, these drawings transformed into their

The raccoon as a graffiti tag started during the Study Abroad program in Europe.
Throughout the trip, I was working on a project focused on the graffiti in each city. Eventually, it inspired me to get a paint pen and start adding my own little mark.
